Is it possible that the prophecy of Seventy-Sevens – Seventy-Weeks is about heavenly Jerusalem?
Could earthly Jerusalem achieve the 6 goals?
- to finish the transgression
- to put an end to sin
- and to atone for iniquity
- to bring in everlasting righteousness
- to seal both vision and prophet
- and to anoint a most holy place

Surely, the earthly Jerusalem shall not achieve the above Six Goals, so…
Let’s think “Seventy Sevens” this prophecy about rebuilding the holy city, it refers not only to the earthly Jerusalem, but mainly for the “New Jerusalem” in heaven. Why?
Because New Jerusalem will come down from the Heaven, but before it come down, you can imagine the New Jerusalem has to finish its’ “building”. That’s why we say this vision is for building the heavenly New Jerusalem(the real Holy City). In fact, we can say “Seventy Sevens” is for rebuilding the “New Jerusalem”, why do we say that? It seems that no one has ever explained it this way, this is a completely new interpretation.
Because only the New Jerusalem can achieve those 6 goals, the earthly Jerusalem couldn’t.
For if the earthly Jerusalem could bring the everlasting righteousness… Why need to destroy it? If the earthly Jerusalem has destroyed and not existed, how could it make sure the righteousness could last forever? On the other hand, if the earthly Jerusalem could achieved all 6 goals, why is another “New Jerusalem” needed?
For the earthly Jerusalem was not perfection and couldn’t fulfill 6 goals, that’s why the New Jerusalem is needed.
“Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood…, what further need would there have been for another priest to arise (in the New Jerusalem) after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron?” – Hebrew 7:11
If we put “Seventy Sevens” to the earthly Jerusalem, you may feel something wrong for it does not match history, timing, events… perfectly, just like you have to straighten the bent iron hardly to interpret it.
The rebuilding period of this prophecy seems composed by many key jumping points, from “7 years” jumps to “52 days“, and jumps to “3.5 years“, and jumps to “Jerusalem destroyed“, and then jumps to the final “unknown period“. It seems building the Jerusalem is not a continuouely timeline, like a mentally unstable person talking things with jumping thoughts.
Generally when we say “we have to build a xxx city, after finished the building would achieve xxx goals”, then we expect this to be an ongoing construction schedule, won’t expect this city would being destroy, otherwise how could goals be fulfilled? Right? that’s why we say it’s strange, because earthly Jerusalem was destroyed during the construction period of “Seventy Sevens”.
However, if we apply “Seventy Sevens” to the heavenly Jerusalem, you will find that it fits perfectly with all details. The construction progress of New Jerusalem would be a continous timeline, it would be the one and clear building plan in Seventy Sevens. That’s why we say it seems mainly “Seventy Sevens” is for building “New Jerusalem”. So what is the actual timeline for rebuilding the heavenly Jerusalem?

Seventy Sevens of heavenly Jerusalem
The Seven Sevens – 7@7 began building the heavenly Jerusalem:
From outgoing of God’s word in BC 522, the holy city – heavenly Jerusalem “began” to restore and build, and waiting for the anointed one. Firstly was the symbolic period “Seven Sevens – 7@7”. This period was the construction period of the “main body buildings” of the New Jerusalem, actual timeline is from BC 522 to BC 445 total used 77 years. As you know the main body of New Jerusalem is a cube size with over 2000km length, width and height.

In 445 BC, the main body building of New Jerusalem was complete finished.
And then, the Sixty-Two Sevens – 62@7 heavenly Jerusalem building squares and moat:
62@7 of heavenly Jerusalem
Maybe 445 BC was the beginning of symbolic sixty-two Sevens – 62@7 period, “New Jerusalem” shall be building again with squares and moat“. It’s like building a new earthly city, after the main buildings have finished, then roads, squares and moat, building houses, parks… would be built.
The actual timeline of this building period was from 445 BC to 30 AD, total 475 years, building squares and moat… “but in a troubled time”. Why is it said “in a troubled time” here?
Maybe just like when the Israelite rebuilding Jerusalem walls were met with opposition from their enemies, it was also happened in heaven. Who are the enemies who oppose and attacked the heavenly Jerusalem building progress? Surely you know the answer, the Devil and Satan.
69@7 of Seventy Sevens… “about your holy city“: So in the first part – Sixty Nine Sevens 69@7 the “physical” building of New Jerusalem was complete finished, also during this period had to wait the anointed one. It was a continous timeline began from 522 BC and finished the building in 30 AD, total used 552 years for the building and waiting the anointed one.
Is that really? The New Jerusalem is really finished the “physical building”? Yes, and Jesus was indirectly proving that.
In my Father’s house[New Jerusalem] are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? – John 14:2
So Jesus said in the Father’s house – New Jerusalem there are many rooms, that indirectly proved that New Jerusalem has built complete. Also maybe Jesus would make fine adjustments and preparations for 144000 Saints when he back to heaven.
The final One Seven – 1@7 is about your “(holy) people”, that’s why you can see this part is about Jesus – 3.5@7 and 144000 Saints – 3.5@7.
The first part 3.5 of One Seven: Jesus
30 AD “69@7” ended, the anointed one(Jesus) appeared. “1@7” began, the core of the holy city New Jerusalem “people” appeared – the Lamb and the Bride(144000).
The Lamb Jesus was killed after 3.5 years preaching ministry, so we could say “3.5” is used to symbolise the first half of One Seven period. 70 AD was marked as the half of “1@7” for that year the earthly Jerusalem was destroyed. So actual timeline of the first 3.5@7 this symbolic period was from 30 AD to 70 AD, total 40 years.
70 AD marks as the half of “One Seven”, that year was the earthly Jerusalem destroyed and the New Covenant officially has come into effect. Why is the destruction of earthly Jerusalem related to the half of One Seven?
As you know if a old system has to be replaced with the new system, you have to set a date to discount the old system and go live the new system. You can’t let both go live together, otherwise people would still using the old one. That’s why you must define a date to shut down the old one and let the new system go live to take effect.
Similarly, this is the reason why Father Jehovah God has to define and set a date to terminate the Old Covenant and made the New Covenant take effect officially. This important time was the year 70 AD, marks it as the half of One Seven.
Is that true? If people can still using the old system, that means the new system the better one unable to effectively play its role. Apostle Paul said:
5 They serve a copy and shadow (Earthly Jerusalem) of the heavenly things… 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, declares YHWH:
I will put my laws into their minds,
and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
13 In speaking of a new covenant (New Jerusalem), he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away (earthly Jerusalem).
Hebrew 8:5-13
“By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the holy places (New Jerusalem) is not yet opened as long as the first section[earthly Jerusalem] is still standing” – Hebrew 9:8
That’s why the earthly Jerusalem has to destroy according to the “Holy Spirit” said, so that the way to the holy place – New Jerusalem can be opened to take effective of New Covenant. The above verses also indirectly prove that the New Jerusalem has already complete finished. That’s why the high Priest Jesus could entered into the New Jerusalem – holy place, offered “his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.”
“6 These preparations having thus been made, the priests go regularly into the first section, performing their ritual duties, …
9 (which is symbolic for the present age). According to this arrangement…
11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation – “New Jerusalem”)” – Hebrew 9:6-11
The last 3.5@7 of heavenly Jerusalem: The final symbolic “3.5” period began at AD 70 till to the End Day, 144000 Saints are being sealed. When the last Saint is sealed, the final “3.5” of One Seven is complete, then rebuild the holy city New Jerusalem is completed and successfully! In this moment, we can’t pin the ending point, but it has passed about 2000 years till now. After that, the New Jerusalem will come down from the heaven…
So it seems this vision is for the heavenly Jerusalem(New Jerusalem). For day and night only happens on earth not heaven, there is no day or night in heaven, that’s why “Seven” is not a strictly fixed time, so we say it must a symbolic period.
Why the heavenly city called “New” Jerusalem? Isn’t it tells us it is the rebuilt city? Yes, just like there was an old city being destroyed and then rebuild the new one. After finished rebuilding, there will be a new name to distinguish from the old one, generally its’ name will be added a “new …” base on the old city name. So that’s why God calls it “New” Jerusalem, that is the meaning of its’ new name – it is a new, rebuild city (rebuild Jerusalem), just as God announced.
Yes, only New Jerusalem could achieve those 6 goals…

New Jerusalem would stand forever and ever!
If “Seventy Sevens” really means building heavenly New Jerusalem, why didn’t God say directly “Seventy Sevens” is for building the heavenly Jerusalem? Why did God command the earthly Jerusalem has to rebuild too? Isn’t it confused us? Yes, it’s really confusing us. But why? Maybe that is the method of God using to hide and sealed His “word”.
Another reason is God wants to show us the heavenly construction progress. How? For we can’t see what happens in the heaven. How to let God’s people understanding what are happening in the heaven?
Therefore, maybe one of the main purpose of rebuilding earthly Jerusalem is let us understanding the building progression in heavenly Jerusalem, for the earthly Jerusalem is the shadow of heaven, when the heavenly move, the shadow will move, then we could understanding the building progress of heavenly Jerusalem. Just like if we observe the shadow position of shadow rod, we would know what the position(progress) of the sun is moving to, not the shadow moves but the sun.
Therefore we are sure only the heavenly Jerusalem – New Jerusalem could achieve and fulfill all 6 goals, not the earthly Jerusalem. New Jerusalem would be the Kingdom of God, also be the God’s House. Finally, when the last “3.5” of “Seventy Sevens” building New Jerusalem complete, the preparation of a new holy city will be complete, it is ready…
“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” – Revelation 21:2
