The 5th Trumpet
The 5th Trumpet may refer to the 5th day of Israelites’ priests blew trumpets walked around city Jericoh. What is the disaster of the 5th Trumpet? Is that already happened or not? What is the 5th trumpet symbolizing? When the sixth trumpet sounds, the climax of the great tribulation will come. Let’s see the 5th Trumpet first, please read the Revelation Chapter 9:1-12.
“And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit.” – Revelation 9:1
A star from heaven
Someone says the star means Satan who fell from heaven to earth. But God gave the key to this star to open the bottomless pit, and gave power to locusts to torment people five months except the sealed people(144000). If the star is Satan, how come would God gave the key to him? If the star symbolizes Satan, he should command the locusts to torment 144000 sealed people. But why not the locusts do that? Obviously, this star is an heavenly angel and carry out God’s will.
“He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. 3 Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth.” – Revelation 9:2-3
When the angel opened the bottomless pit, it rose smoke like a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened. We know the smoke is not the real smoke, so the sun and the air are also not the real. The sun and the air become darkened, maybe it means the sad, hopeless and shall be death. Maybe it symbolizes the old earth(Satan’s world) becomes darkened, no hope and shall be ended.
The Locusts
“They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. 6 And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.” – Revelation 9:4-6
The locusts were told not to harm the grass or any green plant or any tree but those who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. What does it mean? Maybe it means the locusts do not harm the real green plant, but harm humans – except those have God’s seal, maybe also harm animals.
What are the locusts? Are they real? Or what do they symbolize? Is that already happened or come in the future? Maybe the locusts symbolize the “COVID19 virus”. Why do we say that?
It seems COVID19 matchs the symbols of the locusts. There were smoke come out of the bottomless pit, and then the locusts came out from the smoke. You know the smoke is formed by tiny particles that our naked eye can’t see. Is that symbolizes the COVID19 virus? Because our naked eye can’t see the COVID19 virus, also don’t know where it comes up.
The locusts came out from bottomless pit means they were not exist before, is it like the new coronavirus a new type virus that has never existed on earth before? In fact, no one knows where COVID 19 comes from, even with many scientists have studying and researching. Let’s see some report about COVID19.
Torment them five months
Due to the COVID19 pandemic, a number of non-pharmaceutical interventions colloquially known as lockdowns (encompassing stay-at-home orders, curfews, quarantines, cordons sanitaires and similar societal restrictions) have been implemented in numerous countries and territories around the world. These restrictions were established with the intention to reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID19.
By April 2020, about half of the world’s population was under some form of lockdown, with more than 3.9 billion people in more than 90 countries or territories having been asked or ordered to stay at home by their governments. Although similar disease control measures have been used for hundreds of years, the scale of those implemented in the 2020s “is thought to be unprecedented”.
For example, Melbourne has experienced 6 blockades from March 2020 to October 17, 2021, with a total of 262 days of blockade. Buenos Aires has been locked down for 234 days.
The COVID19 matchs the sign what Jesus has said : “such(thing) as has not been(happened) from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be” – Maatthew 24:21. For the COVID19 virus happens worldwide, it fulfills “never happened before”, and also we believe it will never happen again.
If you are lockdown at home two weeks or one month or two months or even five months… How do you feel?(Specially in China) Will you feel like this? “in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.”.
Prophet Joel also predicted the locusts will come out before the End Day. What did he say? Joel 1:4 says,
“What the cutting locust left,
the swarming locust has eaten.
What the swarming locust left,
the hopping locust has eaten,
and what the hopping locust left,
the destroying locust has eaten.”
Are they symbolized the COVID19(Corona virus)? The new coronavirus keeps mutating to harm people, and almost all people have been infected. If you are not infected with Alpha, you may infected with Delta, even your not infected with Delta, you may infected with Beta or with Gamma or with Omicron… Is it similar like this?
“What the Alpha virus left,
the Delta virus has eaten.
What the Delta virus left,
the Beta virus has eaten,
What the Beta virus left,
the Gamma virus has eaten.
and what the Gamma virus left,
the Omicron virus has eaten.
Revelation 9:7-10 “In appearance the locusts were like horses prepared for battle: on their heads were what looked like crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces, 8 their hair like women’s hair, and their teeth like lions’ teeth; 9 they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was like the noise of many chariots with horses rushing into battle. 10 They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails. “
Scorpions’ tails sting the human body and release venom to hurt them, just like the COVID19 releases virus. They are like the army with thousands horses(huge great army), and rushing into human’s body battling with human immune system. What are the locusts look like? Their heads looked like crown; their faces looked like human faces, their hair like women’s hair, and their teeth like lions’ teeth… Is that like this?
Did the 5th trumpet really sound? Does locusts really symbolize the corona virus? Are they really appeared or we still need to wait? After considering the above evidence, we believe that the locusts shall be symbolizing the corona virus. Because the four Trumpets(1/3 disaster of earth) have already sounded and fulfilled, “after that” would be the fifth Trumpet(comes up of locusts). And the COVID-19 which is the new type virus from the bottomless pit, it means this virus does not exist on the earth before, it also happens worldwide. Therefore we believe the 5th Trumpet is sounding, we are living in the 5th Trumpet period, but will end soon.
Revelation 9:11 “They have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon.”
Revelation 9:12 “The first woe has passed; behold, two woes are still to come.”
Something is very interesting about the 5th and 6th Trumpet of Revelation, a special “term” used only to descript it not other “Seals” and Trumpets”. This “term” is the “woe has passed”. But the other disasters did not say has to “pass”, what does it mean? Maybe that means for other seals opened or trumpets sounded will last till to the End Day.
How long will be the 5th disaster hold? We have no idea but God knows. The Revelation says it will harm people 5 months. We know the average of each church is the symbolized 6 months period, please read “the seven churches and seven stars“, so does it mean it occupies the 5/6 of the last church Laodicea? Maybe 5 months means it’s almost the whole witnessing period of the last church Laodicea.
When the 6th Trumpet is sounded, the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates will be releases. What does it mean? It means all 144000 saints have been sealed complete, the sealing work is complete too, please read chapter <144000 and a great multitude>.
Although sealing saints have completed, but they have to witness Jesus one month more. And a final month will last to the 6th Trumpet period, and the beast will make war on saints(2 witnesses) and kill them when they finish witnessing the “1260 days” period. Maybe it is also the last month of the 42 months period of the beast.
After the disaster of 5th trumpet, the 6th trumpet will sound soon, and this is the great disaster – the climax of the Great Tribulation will come. Why we can say that? What is the 6th trumpet symbolic? What will happen when it is sounded?
Joel 2:1,2,31
for the day of YHWH is coming; it is near,
2 a day of darkness and gloom,
a day of clouds and thick darkness!
Like blackness there is spread upon the mountains
31 The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of YHWH comes.
