Seventy Sevens – Seventy Weeks
This is about the mystery of the “Seventy Sevens” or “Seventy Weeks.” This article will reveal that mystery. Can you imagine that it has not yet ended but will soon be fulfilled and completed? Can you imagine that it relates not only to the earthly Jerusalem but also to the heavenly Jerusalem? Let’s see—it is very exciting!

Prayer for “Jerusalem”
Daniel 9:1,2 says, “In the first year(estimate 522 BC) of Darius the son of Ahasuerus… 2 … I, Daniel, perceived in the books the number of years that, according to the word of YHWH to Jeremiah the prophet, must pass before the end of the desolations of “Jerusalem”, namely, seventy years”.
Daniel knew the 70 years the end of desolation of Jerusalem was near…
4 I prayed to YHWH my God and made confession, saying, “O YHWH, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 5 we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules…
16 O YHWH, according to all your righteous acts, let your anger and your wrath turn away from your city Jerusalem, your holy hill…
17 Now therefore, O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O YHWH, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, which is desolate…
While Daniel was praying, presenting pleas for the Jerusalem, angel Gabriel came in swift flight, he said “O Daniel, I have now come out to give you insight and understanding. 23 At the beginning of your pleas for mercy, “a word” “went out”, and I have come to tell it(a word) to you, for you are greatly loved. Therefore consider “the word” and understand the vision.”
He continued… 24 Seventy sevens are decreed… 25 Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the “word” to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be “seven sevens”. Then for “sixty-two sevens” it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time.
26 And after the “sixty-two sevens”, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end(the end of Seventy Sevens) shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed. 27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for “one seven”, and for “half of the seven” he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.
The purpose of Seventy-Sevens vision
What is the purpose of Seventy Sevens? What is it about?
Daniel was asking for the end of the desolations of Jerusalem and that God’s face would shine upon Jerusalem. Then the “Seventy Sevens” was announced by the angel Gabriel. Therefore, the purpose of the Seventy Sevens is about the building of Jerusalem. After this period ends, the building will be finished, and the new Jerusalem will achieve the following goals:
- finish the transgression
- put an end to sin
- atone for iniquity
- bring in everlasting righteousness
- seal both vision and prophet
- anoint a most holy place
So we expect… When the Seventy Sevens end, the rebuilding of “Jerusalem” will be finished and the six goals mentioned above will also be achieved! Let’s uncover the Seventy Sevens…
Explanations of “word” and “Seventy Sevens”
What does this prophecy mean? When did it start? What does the “word” mean? When did the “word” go out? This is the key point of the “Seventy Sevens”. It has sealed until the end of the Age. There are two main explanations for the “Seventy Sevens”. Let’s study the first one…
Explanation 1
There are many interpretations of this prophecy. One common view is that the “word” refers to the decree issued by Artaxerxes I in 445 BC, after that the restoration and rebuilding of Jerusalem began. But I have to say, the “restoration and rebuilding” Jerusalem had already started long time ago before Artaxerxes I. Therefore, the counting of the “Seventy Sevens” must be earlier than 445 BC.
Furthermore, the final “one Seven” in this interpretation is extremely complicated and confusing. One popular explanation claims that after the first 69 sevens, there is a long, undefined gap — often called the “Church Age” — that separates the 69 sevens from the final “one Seven.” This gap period is currently to be approximately 2,000 years. After this gap period the final “one Seven” will begin, ushering in the end of the Age.
However, there is no biblical verse that supports separating the final “One Seven” from the previous 69 sevens with such a long unknown gap. Otherwise, how could God specifically say “Seventy Sevens”? If there were a separation of nearly 2,000 years, it would no longer be one continuous period. God could have simply described two separate periods (“69 Sevens” and “one Seven”), which would have been much clearer. It is nonsense for this interpretation saying “Seventy Sevens”, if the timeline is not continuous. Actually, we could say this 2000 years “unknown church period” refers to the final 3.5 period of “One Seven“, we will explain later.
On the other hand, as we know, the sanctuary in Jerusalem was already destroyed in AD 70 and has not existed since. How could it possibly be destroyed again? Would God first need to rebuild the sanctuary before the “One Seven”, and then destroy it in half of “One Seven” (3.5 years)? And then rebuild Jerusalem once more before the end of the “One Seven” in order to achieve the six goals? Doesn’t this seem strange and nonsense? Why has to build a building like this? What purpose?? Why is it need to rebuild, re-destroy, and re-rebuild Jerusalem again during such a short seven-year period?
Moreover, the angel Gabriel said that the “prince” would make a strong covenant with many for one “Seven,” and then “destroy the city and the sanctuary” in the “half of One Seven” to “put an end to sacrifice and offering.” Since Jerusalem and the sanctuary were destroyed in AD 70, this indicates that AD 70 marks the midpoint (half) of the final “One Seven.” That means the final “One Seven” has already begun and is passed a half, so not occurs in the unknown future.
Jesus began to make the New Covenant with many before His sacrifice (Matthew 26:26-29, Luke 22:29-30). If someone says that the “One Seven” has not yet started, that would imply the New Covenant has not yet made by Jesus. If someone says the “One Seven” ended in AD 36, that would refer to the New Covenant also ended in AD 36. As you know, neither of these statements is true. Therefore, explanation 1 does not match the prophecy of “Seventy Sevens” exactly.
Explanation 2
Another explanation is “One Seven” refers to 7 years from AD 30 to AD 36. In AD 30 Jesus (an Anointed One) was baptized(Anointed by Holy Spirit) and preached God’s kingdom 3.5 years, and then killed by Jewish in AD 33. The explanation 2 is like this: The final “One Seven” starts in AD 30, and AD 33 is the half (3.5) of final “one Seven”. Before the night Jesus died, he made covenant of God’s Kingdom with apostles. “He(Jesus) shall make a strong covenant with many for one seven”, the “Seventy Sevens” ended in AD 36 officially.
Jesus “made covenant with many within one seven” started from AD 33 is correct. But I want to say, it “did not match” the destroyed time(half of One Seven – 3.5) of Jerusalem, for it was destroyed in AD 70 not AD 33.
Another reason is this prophecy has not fulfilled completely in AD 36, we expect all the six goals should be achieved completely when the “Seventy Sevens” is ended. Even today we are still waiting “to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place”.
So, it proves that AD 33 is not the half of “One Seven”, and also AD 36 cannot be the end of the “Seventy Sevens”. The end of “Seventy Sevens” should be much longer.
Meaning of the “Word”
Firstly, when did this vision “Seventy Sevens” begin? When did the “word” go out? Whom did the “word” come from?
Actually people say there were 3 times of the command(“word”) issued for rebuilding Jerusalem. They were Cyrus in 538 BC, Darius I in 522 BC and Artaxerxes in 445 BC. Then it makes us confused, for God did not tell us the “word” come from whom, then how could we confirm the beginning time of “Seventy Sevens”?
It is the key point for counting “Seventy Sevens”. If the “word” came from one of those kings, God should mentioned in the Bible, as same as God told us Babylon was destroyed by the king “Cyrus”, but no verse proves directly it comes from which king.
“Word” – Come from whom?
Firstly, let’s see what Bible itself says about “word”, “word” come from whom… Daniel 9:23
Gabriel said :
“At the beginning”… – At the beginning while Daniel was praying…
“a word went out”… – At the beginning while Daniel was praying, a “word” had come out…
“I have come to tell it(word) to you… Therefore “consider” the “word” and(then you will) understand the vision…” – At the beginning while Daniel was praying, a “word” came out (word has already come out, not Cyrus, Darius I or Artaxerxes)…
Therefore, Gabriel said clearly “word” was from “YHWH God”. That’s the reason why Gabriel came in swift, he had to “tell” Daniel about God’s plan – Seventy Sevens for rebuilding Jerusalem.
So, what does Daniel 9:23 actually mean? It means: God’s “word” “has come out”, I(Gabriel) have to tell “it“(word) to you. From “now” on, there shall be “Seventy Sevens”…
Clearly, the “word” does not from Cyrus, Darius I or Artaxerxes, but Bible directly says “word” was outgoing from “God”. And we are sure that it came from God, not from other not mentioned king. Isaiah 44:26,28 also proves that the “word” of rebuilding Jerusalem was outgoing from God…
Isaiah 44:26,28
26 …who says of Jerusalem , ‘She shall be inhabited,’
and of the cities of Judah, ‘They shall be built,
and I (YHWH) will raise up their ruins’; -> (who says rebuild Jerusalem? -> YHWH)
28 who says of Cyrus , ‘He is my shepherd,
and he shall fulfill all my purpose’;
saying of Jerusalem , ‘She shall be built,’
and of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’” ; (words come from whom? -> YHWH God)
When did God’s Word come out?
When God’s word came out in BC 522 the first year of Darius, the Jerusalem and sanctuary began to restore and rebuild officially next year. There are 2 witnesses can prove that, they are prophet Haggai and Zechariah. Let’s see what did they say.
1 In the “Second year“(BC 521) of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month…
8 Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says YHWH.
14 And YHWH stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel… And they came and worked on the house of YHWH of hosts, their God,
15 on the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the “Second year” of Darius… – Haggai 1:1,8,14,15
Consider from this “day” onward(second year), from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month. Since the day that the foundation of YHWH’s temple was laid, consider: – Haggai 2:18
Haggai told us consider the “day” – the day of foundation of temple was laid. So he proved that rebuilding of Jehovah God’s temple was started at next year when God’s word came out (the second year of Darius), the foundation was laid in ninth month 24 and that day was marked as officially launched of rebuilding Jerusalem.
Another witness the prophet Zechariah says,
On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month of Shebat, in the “second year“(BC 521) of Darius…16 Therefore, thus says YHWH… “my house” shall be built in it, declares YHWH of hosts, and the measuring line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem. – Zechariah1:7,16
Thus says YHWH of hosts: “Let your hands be strong, you who in these days have been hearing these words from the mouth of the prophets who were present on the day that the foundation of the house of YHWH of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.” – Zechariah 8:9
Zechariah also proved that after 2 months of the foundation, it started measuring the Jerusalem. So the 2 witnesses proved that after God’s “word” came out in the first year of Darius, then the restore and rebuild Jerusalem was started, also the foundation had been laid in the “second year” of Darius. So 2 witnesses prove that “Seventy Sevens” started at BC 522.
Seventy Sevens – Symbolic period
But there is a critical and confused problem, that is from God’s word come out (BC 522) to the Anointed one appeared (AD 30) are 552 years, this period has exceeded 490 years(70 x 7), and the vision has not fulfilled completely even today (over 2500 years). Also the history shows us Seventy Sevens is not exactly matched with the rebuilding timeline of Jerusalem. Then what does it mean? Does God’s prophecy fail? What does it tell us?
It tells us Seventy Sevens “must not be” the real number, it is not real literal 490 years(70 x 7 years). If it is not literal years, then it must be a “symbolic” timing. Is it really like this? Does it surprise you? Shouldn’t be, because most of God’s prophecy are symbolic like Daniel’s dreams and the Revelation.
The above outcome 490 years is based on people’s wrong assumption. They assume 7 = 7 literal years, so Seventy Sevens = 490 years, but God did not say “Seven” mean 7 days or 7 years. Just like the 6 creation days, for each “day” is a symbolic period to achieve God’s goal, not a literal 24 hours a day, as you know God is not living on Earth and there is no “day” or “night” in Heaven. Therefore Seventy Sevens must be a symbolic period that achieving God’s goal.
Moreover, God says that when rebuilding Jerusalem is complete, six goals must be achieved. Have six goals achieved? No, therefore we are sure that Jerusalem is still in rebuilding, “Seventy Sevens” period is not yet complete but soon.
Then what does “Seventy Sevens” or “Seventy Weeks” really mean? What is the timeline of Seventy Sevens? Let’s see… This vision is very interesting but also very confusing, may God send Angel Gabriel give us insight to understand it.
Seventy-Sevens (70@7): 2 parts
Firstly, “Seventy Sevens – 70@7” is combined by 2 parts: 69@7 and 1@7.
The first part is a (69@7) symbolic period divided into 2 portions, “Seven Sevens” (7@7) and “Sixty-Two Sevens” (62@7). This part is about the physical building of Jerusalem.
The second part is One Seven(1@7) symbolic period, and this “7” is also divided into 2 portions,
“3.5” and “3.5” (half and half). This part is about the Anointed One and the people of Jerusalem.
Seven-Sevens (7@7):

“7@7 – Seven Sevens” is the first portion of 69@7 symbolic period. This period was the starting point to “restore and build Jerusalem“, the actual timeline begins in BC 522.
Why did God define this period “Seven Sevens”?
According to rebuild Jerusalem history, restore and rebuild the earthly Jerusalem was used 7 years, from BC 522 (God’s “word” was going out) to BC 516, so God used this key point “7” to symbolize “7@7“.
Sixty-Two Sevens (62@7):

And then was “Sixty-two Sevens”(62@7), Jerusalem “shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time”, and “waited for” an anointed one to appear, it seems need to wait a long time in 62@7. Let’s see how they rebuilt in this period…
Nehemiah 2:1,5 “In the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes(about BC 445)…5 And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ graves, that I may rebuild it.”
Nehemiah 4:16-18 “From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail. And the leaders stood behind the whole house of Judah, 17 who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other. 18 And each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built. The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me.”
At that time was really “a troubled time“, half of them worked on construction and half of them held the spears, shields…
According to the history, Nehemiah rebuilt walls of Jerusalem used 52 days. If we add “10 days” which symbolize “the waiting time” for the anointed one, then would be “62 days“. For “10 days” has a symbolic meaning – a long time, like the Revelation 2:10 “Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation.”
We are not sure is it really like this, but according to the history is showing us above facts. So from the restore and rebuild Jerusalem and then “wait” for the anointed one total used a symbolic “Sixty-Nine Sevens – 69@7”. Again, this period does not mean the literal 483 years, but a symbolic period of God’s plan.
One thing is certain, we are sure the actual timeline of “Seventy Sevens” was started at BC522. If you study history of Jerusalem, you will find that the rebuild earthly Jerusalem does not match 490 years, that’s why the “Seventy Sevens” should be a symbolic period. So God used (7 @ 7) and (62 @ 7) marks 2 main key stages of this symbolic period.
The Anointed One
After “Sixty-nine Sevens”, the anointed(Messiah) appeared. Who is the anointed?
John 4:25,26 says ‘The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ).” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he”’. Yes, Jesus whom is the anointed one(Messiah).
“…when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form(“anointed him”), like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son(“a Prince”); with you I am well pleased.” 23 Jesus, when he began his ministry, was about thirty years of age…” – Luke 3:21-23
Holy Spirit anointed Jesus when he got baptized at 30 years old, at that time “an anointed one appear” was fulfilled. So “AD 30” was the end of the symbolic “Sixty-nine Sevens” period, also the beginning of “One Seven” symbolic period.
The anointed one “shall be cut off and shall have nothing”. After Jesus ministry three and half(3.5) years, he was killed by Jew. Matthew 27:50,51 says “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom”.
First half(3.5) of One Seven
What is used to symbolise the first half(3.5) of “One Seven”?
We can say Jesus’ 3.5 years witnessing period is used to symbolise the “first half” of one seven. Why did Jesus not preach 3, 5, 10 or even 20 years but “3.5” years? So it tells us that “3.5” has a special meaning, related to the “Anointed One” period (a half of One Seven), so God particularly uses 3.5 to symbolise the first half of “One Seven”.
When Jesus completed 3.5 years ministry and sacrificed, he has achieved the goal of “first 3.5” of One Seven. And “the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom” symbolises Jerusalem and sanctuary will be destroyed in a half of “One Seven”, the actual year was AD 70.
So the actual timeline of the first 3.5 of “One Seven” began at AD 30, the anointed one Jesus appeared, ended at AD 70 (Jerusalem destroyed). AD 70 was the “half” of One Seven, it indicates the end of the first half (3.5) of “One Seven”, and also the beginning of final half “3.5“.
So from AD 30 to AD 70 this 40 years was the actual timeline of the first half (3.5) symbolic period. Does AD 70 is really the half of “1@7”?
AD 70 – half of “1@7”
Which year is the half of “1@7”? Does AD 70 really pointing the half of final “One Seven”? Who can prove AD 70 is the half of “One Seven”?
Lord Jesus, yes! What did he say?
Matthew 24:15,16
15 So when you see the abomination of desolation(Seventy Sevens vision) spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand —> the “half” of One Seven), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains…. (because the city-Jerusalem and the sanctuary will be destroyed)
Therefore, the above Jesus indisputable evidences and also the history both prove that the half of final “One Seven” was occurred in AD 70, not in the end of the Age. Obviously “Seventy Sevens” is a continuous timeline, no an unknown gap separate 69th and 70th seven. Jesus proved that AD 70 is the half of One Seven, for the desolator (the forth Beast) destroy Jerusalem was fullfilled, “he who has ears, let him hear”.
And then… Seventy Sevens was complete… finished? But how about the another half “3.5” of “One Seven”? Will something happen in another “3.5”? What is its’ actual timeline? How long of it? What is used to symbolise it? It seems this vision is missing the “final piece” of puzzle.
Second half(3.5) of One Seven
But Angel Gabriel didn’t provide us more information about the final piece “3.5” of “One Seven”. Then how could we know it? It is very interesting and exciting, we have waited a long time for God to reveal it.
Now, maybe it’s the time for God revealing it to us, for our time is the final period of the End Day. Let us ask some questions : What is “a time, times, and half a time”? What is “1,260 days”? What is “forty-two months”? Are they related to the final half(3.5) of One Seven?
Let’s see…
Daniel 12:6,7,11
6 And someone said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, “How long shall it be till the end of these wonders?
11 “from” the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away(AD70) and the abomination that makes desolate is set up(AD 70)…
and then pass
7 …“a time, times, and half a time”, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people(saints) comes to an end all these things would be “finished”.
So from AD 70 “the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away)”, there will be “a time, times, and half a time”. “When the shattering of the power of the holy people (saints) comes to an end all these things would be finished“, then “a time, times, and half a time” will be ended, this is the end of the Age; Jesus will come again!
It relates to “holy people” – “saints”, God’s judgement will come after the end of the final “3.5” of One Seven.
He(the 4th beast) shall speak words against the Most High,
and shall wear out the “saints” of the Most High,
and shall think to change the times and the law;
and they(saints) shall be given into his hand
for “a time, times, and half a time”. – Daniel 7:25
“But the “saints” of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, forever and ever.” – Daniel 7:18
The beast shall wear out saints for “a time, times, and half a time”, when 3.5 period is ended, God will judge the Beast and destroy it, it will be the ending of End Day, God’s Kingdom will give to Saints. So that’s why <Seven Churches and Seven Stars> and <Two Witnesses> appear in the Revelation, it tells us why this period called “a time, times, and half a time” and “1260 days“. What does it mean or refer to?
“a time, times, and half a time” – Two churches / Two witnesses
Those holy people have mission to do, that is their ministry and hold testimony of Jesus. How long of their witnessing period?
“And I will grant authority to my “two witnesses“, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth” – Revelation11:3,4
Same as Jesus’ witnessing 3.5 years, two witnesses also witnessing “3.5” (1,260 days), it is used to symbolic the final half of “One Seven”. Two witnesses are two lampstands, and two lampstands are two churches, “a time, times, and half a time”; “1260 days” and “3.5” is the <two witnesses> and <Seven Churches and Seven Stars> period.
“a time, times, and half a time” is equal to three and half years(3.5), this 3.5 is used to symbolise the final half of “One Seven”. So if we combine it into the first half period(Jesus 3.5 years), then the final “One Seven” will be complete, just like putting the last piece into a puzzle, then the total of “Seventy Sevens” will be complete.
But why we say the holy people is the last piece(3.5) and put it into “1@7”? Is there any relationship with the “Seventy Sevens”?
New Jerusalem – God’s living place
Because this vision is about “your people (Holy people) and your holy city (Jerusalem)”. What will be the New Jerusalem consist of? Yes, it consists of Jesus and the holy people(144000 saints).
As you know, what is the most important of a city? The physcial building surely is very important, but “what people” living in the city is much more significant, for they are directing its’ operation. Holy people (saints) are the main part of New Jerusalem, that’s why this part must be added into “Seventy Sevens” of rebuilding Jerusalem.
When the prophecy of rebuilding Jerusalem is complete, Jerusalem will be given a “new” name, its’ new name will be “New Jerusalem”.
Isaiah 62:1,2
1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
and “for Jerusalem’s sake” I will not be quiet,
until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
and her salvation as a burning torch.
2 The nations shall see your righteousness,
and all the kings your glory,
and you shall be called by a “new name” (New Jerusalem)
that the mouth of YHWH will give.
“And I saw the holy city, “New Jerusalem“, coming down out of heaven from God…” – Revelation 21:2
Rev. 21:10-12,14, “And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the “holy city Jerusalem” coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel… and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed.14 And the wall of the city had “twelve foundations”, and on them were the twelve names of the “twelve apostles” of the Lamb.”
Yes, 144000 saints the holy people are living in the holy city – New Jerusalem. When the final symbolic 3.5 (a time, times, and half a time) period is ended, “Seventy Sevens” vision will be fulfilled complete. Please read <The Mystery of Kingdom of God> <144000 and a great multitude> and <New Jerusalem>.
When “Seventy Sevens” is ended, it will be the God’s Day(the end of the Age), and six goals “finish the transgression, to put an end to sin… and to anoint a most holy place” will be achieved. When the building is complete “Bride is ready”, New Jerusalem will come down from heaven… Thank you Father, Glory and Praise Father and Lord Jesus. Amen.
Seal until the time of the End – End of “One Seven”
What is the actual timeline of “One Seven”? The first “3.5” was from AD 30 to AD 70 total 40 years.
And how long about the another “3.5“? We know it started from AD 70, till to the ending of End Day, lasted about 2000 years now. When will be its ending? Matthew 24:36 says, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only”. Actually no one knows the ending date of the symbolic “3.5” period except Father, so we can’t point it out on the timeline table.
Although we don’t know the exact end date but we are sure if “this mission” is finished, then the final “3.5” shall be ended. What is “this mission”?
“After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun… 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, “until” we “have sealed” the servants of our God on their foreheads.” 4 And I heard the number of the sealed, “144,000”” – Revelation 7:1-4
So when the “last” saint has been sealed, the final “3.5” will be end. That’s why the final “3.5” is so long. God Father needs to wait all His sons(144000) have been sealed, and only Father God knows who is His last son. And that’s why no one knows the date of the Ending except Father, also why Jesus not yet come so long.
That is to say, the key point makes it end of the final “3.5” is all 144000 saints have sealed complete, then “the beast that rises from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer them and kill them”, after that the ending of the End Day will come, also Jesus will come!
Timeline of Seventy Sevens
All above evidences prove that “Seventy Sevens” is the symbolic period, when we put the last piece of “3.5” into “One Seven”, then “Seventy Sevens” will be complete.
Wow… so long of this topic. This mystery of “Seventy Sevens” has revealed, Let’s make it simple and showing it with a chart. Actually this “Seventy Sevens” mystery is very simple but no one knows unless God reveals it!

1. God’s “word” came out (522 BC), “Seventy Sevens” began. Firstly was “7@7” symbolic period and then “62@7” symbolic period, and wait for the Anointed One. The actual timeline of “69@7” is from 522 BC to AD 30.
2. In AD 30, the anointed one(Jesus) appeared. The “69@7” symbolic period ended, the symbolic “1@7” period began. “1@7” actual timeline is from AD 30 till to the End of the Age.
3. Jesus’ 3.5 years ministry symbolise the first “3.5” of “1@7”. Jesus made “covenant with many” for “1@7”. The first “3.5” actual timeline is from AD 30 to AD 70 totaling 40 years.
4. AD 70, Jerusalem and Sanctuary was destroyed, that year was marked as the “half” of the One Seven, the first “3.5” ended, and the other “3.5” began.
5. From AD 70 till to the ending of the End Day is the final “3.5” symbolic period ; “a time, times, and half a time” : holy people(144000 saints) were being sealed during this period. It is the period of “sowed the wheat (sons of the kingdom) growing in the field”.
6. In AD ??? , the last saint of 144000 is sealed, it is the ending of the Age, “3.5” (a time, times, and half a time) is ended, “1@7” complete, and the “70@7” is also complete and finished.

Assumption
Let’s think about the “Seventy Sevens”. This prophecy about rebuilding the holy city refers not only to the earthly Jerusalem but mainly to the “New Jerusalem” in heaven. Why?
Because the New Jerusalem will come down from heaven, but before it comes down, you can imagine that the New Jerusalem must first finish its “building”. That is why we say this vision is about building the heavenly New Jerusalem (the real Holy City). In fact, we can say the “Seventy Sevens” is for building the “New Jerusalem”. Why do we say that? It seems no one has ever explained it this way before.
Because only the New Jerusalem can achieve these six goals; the earthly Jerusalem could not.
For if the earthly Jerusalem could bring in everlasting righteousness, to put an end to sin…, why would it need to be destroyed? And if the earthly Jerusalem was destroyed and no longer existed, how could it ensure that righteousness would last forever? On the other hand, if the earthly Jerusalem could achieve all six goals, why would another “New Jerusalem” even be needed?
Because the earthly Jerusalem was not “perfection” and could not fulfill the six goals, that’s why the New Jerusalem is needed.
“Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood…, what further need would there have been for another priest to arise (in the New Jerusalem) after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron?” – Hebrew 7:11
If we apply the “Seventy Sevens” onto the earthly Jerusalem, something always feels wrong. It does not match history, timing, or events perfectly. It’s like you have to use all your strength to straighten a bent iron hardly, it’s same as Biblical scholars shove those history, timing and events into the “Seventy Sevens” prophecy hardly.
The rebuilding earthly Jerusalem seems to be made up of many sudden jumps: from “7 years” to “52 days”, then to “3.5 years”, then to “Jerusalem destroyed”, and finally jumps to an “unknown period.” It feels like the thoughts of an unstable person – disjointed and jumping around. History shows us building Jerusalem is not a continuous timeline. But God said building Jerusalem would take “Seventy Sevens”, which seems to be an uninterrupted period.
Normally, when we say, “We have to build a xxx city to achieve these goals…” We would expect this is a continuous construction timeline schedule. We would not expect this city to be destroyed during the building process. Otherwise, how could goals be fulfilled? Right? That’s why it seems very strange for the earthly Jerusalem was destroyed during the “Seventy Sevens” building period.
However, if we apply the “Seventy Sevens” onto the heavenly Jerusalem, everything fits perfectly, no need “to straighten the bent iron hardly”. The construction progress of the New Jerusalem becomes a smooth, continuous and uninterrupted timeline, you can see that “Seventy Sevens” would be a clear building plan. That’s why we say the prophecy is mainly for building the “New Jerusalem”. So what is the actual timeline for building heavenly New Jerusalem?
Assumption :

The Seven Sevens – 7@7, began building the heavenly Jerusalem:
From outgoing of God’s word in BC 522, the holy city – the heavenly New Jerusalem “began” to restore and build, and waiting for the Anointed One. First came the symbolic period of “Seven Sevens – 7@7”. This construction period is for building the “main body” of the New Jerusalem. Maybe the actual timeline was from 522 BC to 445 BC, a total of 77 years.
As you know, the main body of the New Jerusalem is a perfect cube measuring over 2,000 km in length, width, and height. It would be the greatest and highest city, that’s why the “physical” building needs thousands and thousands angels workers to construct 77 years.

In 445 BC, building the main body of New Jerusalem was finished complete.
And then the Sixty-Two Sevens – 62@7, building squares and moat inside the New Jerusalem:

Perhaps the year 445 BC marks as the beginning year of the symbolic “sixty-two Sevens – 62@7” period: “New Jerusalem shall be built again with squares and moat”. It is like building a new earthly city, after its’ main buildings are finished, squares, moat, roads and parks are constructed next following its’ schedule.
The actual timeline of this building period “62@7” was from 445 BC to 30 AD, a total of 475 years, during this period was for building the squares and moat… inside the New Jerusalem, “but in a troubled time”. Why did it say, “in a troubled time”?
When Israelites rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, they faced opposition from their enemies, it reflects the heaven also facing “opposition”. Who were the enemies opposing and attacking the building progress of heavenly New Jerusalem? Surely you know the answer, the Devil and Satan.

69@7 of Seventy Sevens is… “about your holy city“:
After the sixty-nine Sevens – 69@7, the (physical) building of New Jerusalem was complete finished. It was a continuous timeline began in 522 BC and finished in 30 AD, a total of 552 years for building the New Jerusalem and waiting the Anointed One.
Is that really true? Was the New Jerusalem’s physical building really finished? Yes, and Jesus indirectly proved it:
“In [New Jerusalem] my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” – John 14:2
Jesus said that in the Father’s house (the New Jerusalem) there are many rooms. This indirectly proves that the “physical” heavenly Jerusalem had already been built. Jesus may have also made final adjustments and preparations for the 144,000 saints when he returned to heaven.
The final One Seven – 1@7, this part is about your “(holy) people”. That’s why you can see this section is about the holy people; Jesus (3.5@7) and 144000 Saints (3.5@7).
The first half “3.5” of One Seven: Jesus
In 30 AD, the 69@7 symbolic period ended, the symbolic “1@7” began, the Anointed One (Jesus) appeared. During “One Seven” this symbolic period would finish the core of the holy city: the holy people of New Jerusalem; the Lamb and the Bride (the 144,000).

The Lamb, Jesus, was killed after 3.5 years of preaching ministry. Therefore, “3.5” symbolizes the first half of the One Seven period. The year 70 AD marks as the midpoint (half) of the 1@7, because the earthly Jerusalem was destroyed in this year and also the New Covenant officially came into effect. So, the actual timeline of the first 3.5@7 was from 30 AD to 70 AD, totaling 40 years.
But why is the destruction of earthly Jerusalem marked as the half of One Seven?

As you know, when an old system has to be replaced by a new one, you have to set a specific date to shut down the old system and launch (online) the new one at the same time. You cannot let both keep running (online), otherwise people may still using the old system, that’s why the old must be shut down.
The same, that is why Father Jehovah God has to set a definite date to terminate the Old Covenant and make the New Covenant take effect at the same time. This important date was 70 AD, allocating the midpoint (Half) of the One Seven.
Is that true? Apostle Paul said,
5 They (Earthly Jerusalem) serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things… 7 For if that first (old) covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second (new).
10 For this is the (new) covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, declares YHWH:
I will put my laws into their minds,
and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
13 In speaking of a new covenant (New Jerusalem), he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away (earthly Jerusalem).
Hebrew 8:5-13
“By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the holy places (New Jerusalem) is not yet opened as long as the first section[earthly Jerusalem] is still standing” – Hebrew 9:8
That’s why the earthly Jerusalem has to be destroyed – according to the “Holy Spirit” said, so that the way enter into the holy place – New Jerusalem could be “opened” and the New Covenant could begin to take effect. These verses also indirectly prove that the “physical” building of New Jerusalem had already finished and complete. Otherwise, how could Jesus the High Priest enter into the New Jerusalem – the holy place, offer “his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.”
“6 These preparations having thus been made, the priests go regularly into the first section, performing their ritual duties, …
9 (which is symbolic for the present age). According to this arrangement…
11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation – “New Jerusalem”)” – Hebrew 9:6-11
The final 3.5@7 building period of heavenly New Jerusalem:
The final “3.5” building period began in 70 AD and continues until the end of the Age, while 144000 Saints are being sealed. When the last saint is sealed, the final “3.5” of One Seven period will be complete ended, then the “people” of holy city New Jerusalem will be built complete successfully! We cannot pinpoint the exact ending date in this moment, but we know nearly 2,000 years have been passed.

So it seems this vision is truly about building the heavenly Jerusalem(New Jerusalem). Since day and night only exist on earth and not in heaven, that’s why God said “Seven” is not a literal earthly timing but should be symbolic timing.
Why is the heavenly city called “New” Jerusalem? Doesn’t this name itself tell us it is the new building of the old city? Yes. Just as an old city is destroyed and then building a new one. The new city will be given a new name to distinguish it from the old one. Usually, the word “New” is added to the old name. That is why God calls it “New Jerusalem”. It is the rebuilt city—just as God announced.
Yes, only the New Jerusalem can achieve all six goals…
to finish the transgression
to put an end to sin
and to atone for iniquity
to bring in everlasting righteousness
to seal both vision and prophet
and to anoint a most holy place
New Jerusalem will stand forever and ever!
If the “Seventy Sevens” really means building the heavenly New Jerusalem, why didn’t God say it directly? Why did He also command Israelites to rebuild the earthly Jerusalem? Wasn’t that confusing us? Yes, it is really confusing. But why? Maybe that is the method of God used to hiding and sealing His mystery “word”.
Another reason is that God wants to show us the heavenly construction progress. How? We can’t see what happens in the heaven. So how could God’s people know the construction progress?
Therefore, one of the main purposes for rebuilding the earthly Jerusalem is to help us understand the building progress in the heavenly Jerusalem, because the earthly Jerusalem is the shadow of the heavenly. When the heavenly moves, the shadow will move. Then we can understand (seen) what building progress is standing of the heavenly Jerusalem. It is like watching the shadow of a sundial rod: by observing the position of the shadow, we could know where the sun (timing) is—not because the shadow moves but the sun.

Therefore, we are sure only the heavenly Jerusalem – the New Jerusalem can achieve and fulfill all six goals, not the earthly Jerusalem. New Jerusalem will be the Kingdom of God, also be the God’s House – His dwelling place. When the final “3.5” of the “Seventy Sevens” for building the New Jerusalem is complete, the “building” of a new holy city will be finished. Finally, the Bride will make herself ready and come down…
“Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory.
For the wedding day of the Lamb has come,
his bride has made herself ready.” – Revelation 19:7
“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” – Revelation 21:2
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. – Matthew 6:9,10
Amen. May Father the New Jerusalem, your kingdom come.
Amen.
Interesting about “Seventy Sevens”
Symbolic or Literal?
To be honest, we don’t know the exact time when something happened unless we ourselves are the witnesses. Even if there were witnesses, after they pass away no one can provide the exact time when that event occurred. Do you know the exact time of an event that happened 500 years ago? Or even 2,500 years ago?
We are not archaeologists or historians, so how could we confirm or know the exact time when an event happened? Even archaeologists are only guessing or estimating when it happened. For example, nobody knows exactly in what year Christ was born, nor the precise time of the first year of Darius. Do you know Darius? Do you know his father Ahasuerus?
Therefore, what do you think if God wants to tell us His prophecy (His plan)? Would He expect us to calculate the beginning time of an event that took place about 2,500 years ago? We have no idea about any of those events, people, or times, so how could we possibly know it? Would God’s people first have to become archaeologists or historians before they could understand the prophecy?
So if the “Seventy Sevens” is meant to be literal, it would be impossible for us to know and determine the beginning time of the prophecy that was given 2,500 years ago. That’s why you see so many arguments about how to calculate the starting point of the “Seventy Sevens.”
On the other hand, a symbolic prophecy containing signs can let us know which stage of the prophecy we are currently standing. If God gives us the signs of the prophecy, that itself means it must be symbolic. Signs are “not the focus” in a literal prophecy; what matters instead is the “literal timing” foretold by the prophecy, for the prophecy development is based on the timing. Unless God explicitly tells us the timing of a literal prophecy, it is symbolic. We also know that most prophecies in the Bible are symbolic.
Swift Flight
Another interesting question: Why did the angel Gabriel come in swift flight while Daniel was still praying? Why didn’t he wait until the next day after the prayer, or even the next month, to deliver the “Seventy Sevens” vision? It seems very rushed, and there is no other instance like this in the Bible.
Please imagine what situation would make you run in a rush. One situation is that you have to arrive at an appointed time — for example, before a flight has to take off. That’s why the angel Gabriel needed to come in swift flight: because this vision starts now. God’s word has gone out, and the “Seventy Sevens” shall begin from this moment. So Gabriel had to fly swiftly to tell Daniel.
Another interesting point is this: Rebuilding Jerusalem (God’s dwelling place) was truly a great project. How could the decree (the “word”) come from a Gentile king? Does the Most High need a Gentile king to approve His own project? It doesn’t make sense, right? But if the decree (the “word”) came from God Himself, then this would be right and appropriate.
A strong “Covenant”
He(Jesus) shall make a strong covenant with many for “One Seven”, what is “strong covenant”?
he(Jesus) said to them, “I must preach the good news of the “kingdom of God” to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this ‘purpose’.” – Luke 4:43
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the “new covenant” in my blood” – Luke 22:20
So this strong covenant is “the New Covenant” of God’s Kingdom, and Jesus was sent for this purpose. Who did Jesus make covenant with during the symbolic “One Seven” period? He made the covenant with many including apostles, his disciples. This “covenant” is…
“and I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom, 30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” – Luke 22:29,30
The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. – Revelation 3:21
Yes, this is the strong and great covenant for those who will be kings and sit next to Jesus and God. They are called the holy people of Jerusalem. How many holy people did Jesus make this covenant with? Revelation 7:4 says “And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel”.
Therefore, Jesus makes the (New) Covenant with many during the effective period from AD 33 until the end of the Age (the final “One Seven” period), continuing until the last one of the 144,000 saints is sealed and signed on the New Covenant. In other words, when Jesus seals the new covenant with the final one, then the “New Covenant” is fully sealed and complete.
The Holy people – Saints
Where do the holy people(saints) come from?
“And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth” – Revelation 12:1,2
Yes, the holy people are born of the heavenly woman; they are God’s sons. This woman had a very long pregnancy and delivery period. Revelation12:6,14 says “and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days. 14 …she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time“.
The holy people are born of the heavenly woman during the final “1,260 days”; “3.5 years” symbolic period. The pregnancy and delivery began in AD 70 officially and continue until the ending of the End Day, it’s about 2,000 years until now. How many holy people are there? Revelation tells us they are the rest of the woman’s offspring; they keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. They are also the ones with whom Jesus makes the “strong covenant” — the New Covenant of the Kingdom of God.
Forty-Two months
John gives us another proof as corroboration that the final half of the “One Seven” began in AD 70.
“but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months” – Revelation 11:2
When did the trampling of Jerusalem begin? It happened in AD 70. Has the trampling ended? No. Therefore, the symbolized forty-two-month period also started in AD 70 and continues until the end of the Age. Forty-two months equals 3.5 years — the final “3.5”, which is the half of the “One Seven” symbolic period. Therefore, “a time, times, and half a time” and “forty-two months” both refer to the final half (3.5) of the “One Seven” symbolic period.
The Prince
“…from the going out of the word… to the coming of an anointed one, a “prince”… 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one(Prince) shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the “people” of the “prince” who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. 27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many…” – Daniel 9:25-27
Who are the “people”?
The “people” refers to the “holy people” of Jerusalem. Why? Because this vision is about “your people and your holy city,” so “people” must mean the people of Jerusalem. Gabriel did not mention any other “people.”
Who is the “prince”?
Some believe he is the Antichrist, but if we read deeply we can see that the prince is the Anointed One. He shall be cut off — the prince who is to come shall destroy the city (earthly Jerusalem). Who is the Anointed One?
Yes, Jesus Christ. The Prince is Jesus. For Jesus is the Messiah (the Anointed One); He shall be cut off. Isaiah 53:5,8 says,
“5 But he(Jesus) was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, who considered
that he (Jesus) was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?”
After that, the Prince — “who is to come” — means Jesus who is to come at the ending of the Age. And the “Prince” — Jesus — allowed earthly Jerusalem and the sanctuary to be destroyed.
We heard him(Jesus) say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, not made with hands.’ – Mark 14:58
Therefore, it is clear that the “Prince” is the Lord Jesus, he will “finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity“. Jesus will destroy the earthly Jerusalem and the temple, and He will build a new one not made with hands — the heavenly New Jerusalem.
End of Seventy Sevens – “Flood” and “War”
“…Its end(the end of Seventy Sevens) shall come with a “flood”, and to the end there shall be “war”. “Desolations” are decreed. 27 …until the decreed end is “poured out” on the desolator.” – Daniel 9:26,27
What do “flood” and “war” mean? What does “its end” mean?
“Its end” means the ending of the “Seventy Sevens”; it also refers to what Jesus called “the ending of the Age.” “It shall come with a flood” — what does that mean?
“37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.39 … until the “flood” came and swept them all away, so “will be” the coming of the Son of Man(Jesus)” – Matthew 24:37,39
Jesus said there will be worldwide flooding like the days of Noah when He comes. Not only will floods happen, but there shall also be “war” until the end. When worldwide floods occur together with wars, it will be the “sign” of the ending of the “Seventy Sevens”, also be the “sign” of the sealing of saints is finishing, and the “sign” of the ending of the Age. Both “floods” and “wars” will continue until the end.
It seems they are happening now. Floods are occurring worldwide at a magnitude never seen since Noah’s day. Wars are also happening and making the land “desolate,” such as the Russo-Ukrainian War and the Israeli-Hamas War…
The Bible says floods and wars will not end until the decreed is poured out on the desolator. This “sign” sounds loud like a trumpet, telling us Jesus is coming — He is coming back soon! Can you hear and see it?
We see that the “sign” has occurred. In Matthew 24:16 Jesus said, “Then let those… flee to the mountains.” Jesus warned us to move our homes to higher places in this troubled time; do not live in low-lying areas where floods may destroy your home. We are here to call on everyone to heed the advice of Jesus Christ — then your life will be saved.

The “Seventy Sevens” decreed end is “poured out” on the desolator. What does it mean? It means the bowl of God’s wrath, which will be poured out on the desolator (the Beast). Revelation 16:10 says, “The fifth angel “poured out” his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness.”
Understanding Daniel 9:26,27
How do we understand Daniel 9:26-27? Let’s look at the following verses…
26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end(Seventy Sevens’ end) shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.
27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.” – Daniel 9:26,27
It seems these two verses have a dual meaning, using different words to express the same things. These verses are about:
(1) Anointed One – Jesus,
(2) The Jerusalem and the Sanctuary was being destroyed,
(3) The ending of Seventy Sevens and the Desolator.
And after the sixty-two Sevens (verse 26),
(1) The Anointed One — Jesus
He (Jesus) shall make a strong covenant with many (apostles and disciples) for one week. — verse 27
An anointed one (Jesus) shall be cut off and shall have nothing. [AD 33 — Jesus was killed] — verse 26
(2) Jerusalem and the sanctuary was being destroyed
For half of the week he(Jesus) shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. (AD 70) -verse 27
“The people of the Prince[Jesus] who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. (AD 70) -verse 26
* “who is to come” refers to Jesus’s coming at the ending of the age.
(3) The ending of the Desolator and Seventy Sevens.
Its end (the Seventy Sevens’ end) shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war[the Beast makes desolation]. Desolations are decreed. — verse 26
On the wing of abominations [the Beast] shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator (until the seven bowls of Revelation are poured out). — verse 27
Have you seen that the angel Gabriel was expressing the same three things?
Why is the Half(“3.5”)?
The final interesting question: Why did God divide the “One Seven” into half (3.5) and half (3.5)? Why didn’t God define it as 1/3 or 1/4 or 1/7 or 1/12 or even 1/144000, but instead as half (“3.5”)?
“ “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it “refers” to Christ and the church(New Jerusalem).” – Ephesians 5:31,32
“…hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’ 6 So they are no longer two but “one flesh”…” – Matthew 19:5,6
Because Revelation 21:9,10 says, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the “wife” of the Lamb. 10 And he… showed me “the holy city Jerusalem” coming down out of heaven from God”.
Because the Heavenly Kingdom is formed by two parts (two halves): The Lamb Jesus (the symbolic husband) and New Jerusalem (the symbolic wife — the 144,000). So when Jesus finished his “3.5” ministry and sacrificed himself, it means half of the Heavenly Kingdom was completed. And when the last of the 144,000 is sealed, the other half of the Heavenly Kingdom will be completed too. Then the establishment of the Heavenly Kingdom will be fully complete.
This “half” does not mean half of time, but half of the “progress” or “goal” — because the “One Seven” is a symbolic period. As you see, the first “3.5” of the Anointed one, Jesus, lasted 40 years, and the other “3.5” (the sealing of the 144,000 saints) has already lasted about 2,000 years. God shows us the key points that accomplish His will in the “Seventy Sevens” plan. In the future we will know the actual end date of the “Seventy Sevens.”
Another interesting question: Why is this vision “Seventy Sevens” so confusing?
Because this is the mystery of God’s deliberate arrangement. It is partially fulfilled but partially not yet fulfilled, to hide the vision until the ending time. Jehovah God separated it into different parts, with different formats, across different Bible books — hiding it like a puzzle.
God wants this mystery is like this: “Daniel, for the “words” are shut up and sealed until the time of the end” That is why this vision is so difficult to understand — yet actually this vision itself is very simple.
For the truth shall be revealed only at the ending time, so we should expect that some truths will be different from what we have learned or understood before. Now God reveals and shows us the meaning of this vision. That means God is telling us we are now standing at the edge of the ending of the Age. So may we all ask our heavenly Father to forgive our sins, and we should repent — turn from evil to good right now. May we all hold to the testimony and help others to be good, just as Jesus did and taught us.
Let’s Prayer
Our Heavenly Father, You are God Almighty and the only true God who reveals hidden mysteries. May we all give praise, honor, and thanks to You and to Jesus Christ. Amen.
“O YHWH, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules”, please forgive us. Jehovah our God is full of mercy and is willing to forgive us. Please forgive our sins through the ransom paid by Jesus.
We are excited as we wait for the “Seventy Sevens” to be fulfilled completely, for salvation to come, and for the last one of the 144,000 saints to be sealed. Thank You, Father, and thank You, Jesus, for saving all sinners, saving us. We don’t know how to express our love and gratitude to You, for all grace comes from You. What we can do is listen to and obey Your commandments — that is the best we can do.
Our Heavenly Father, may your name be hallowed, may your Kingdom come, may Seventy Sevens be completed, and may Your Kingdom the New Jerusalem come. Amen.
Prayer is also in Lord Jesus name. Amen.
