Daniel

Jehovah God revealed the dreams and visions to Daniel, and all of them are related to “The End Times“. All visions concern about the Jerusalem (God’s Kingdom) and the Beasts. They are <Dream of Statue>, <The Greatest Top Tree and 7 Periods>, <The Four Great Beasts>, <The Ram and The Goat>, <Seventy Sevens> and <Sealed until the time of the end>.

Dream of Statue

First, in Daniel chapter 2, the Dream of the Statue describes a statue formed with a golden head, silver arms, bronze hips and thighs, and iron-and-clay legs and feet. Each material represents a kingdom. Finally, God’s kingdom will destroy this statue at the ending of End Times, and God’s kingdom will rule over the whole world.

The Greatest Top Tree and 7 Period

Then chapter 4 presents the dream about the greatest tree and the seven periods. Just like the dream of the statue, this dream is meant to let people “know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom (the holy people) he will”. Therefore God will give the kingdom to the holy people (the 144,000 Saints).

In fact, we can say Daniel’s dreams have two closely related parts: the first is the dream of the statue, and the second is the dream of the greatest tree and the seven periods. Both are related to God’s kingdom, the saints, and the beasts that hold the highest dominion.

From the destruction of Jerusalem in 607 BC to the end day, there are seven periods of the (red 7-headed) Beast. From AD 70 to the ending of the End Times is “42 months” (three and a half times)—the period of the Beast.

The tree (Jerusalem) represents the “highest dominion” of the world. When the tree was chopped down, it meant that the highest dominion of Jerusalem was stopped. At the same time, the highest dominion was transferred to the (red 7-headed) Beast. After the seven periods, the tree will grow again, meaning the highest dominion will be given back to “(New) Jerusalem”. This symbolizes God’s kingdom—the “New Jerusalem” of heaven.

The Four Great Beasts

After that, God reveals another vision to Daniel in chapter 7: the four great beasts. They are the Lion (Babylon), the Bear (Media and Persia), the Leopard (Greece), and the fourth beast, which is an unnamable beast (Rome and its ten horns, the EU, the US).

The explanation of the fourth beast mainly focuses on its final period because it is related to the holy people and God’s kingdom at the end time. At the End Day, the little horn of the fourth beast will “make war on the saints and prevail over them”. God will judge and burn the fourth beast and give the kingdom to the holy people (the saints).

The Ram and Goat

In chapter 8, the vision concerns the Ram and the Goat (Media and Persia, Greece) and is about the sanctuary at the end time. This vision relates to the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. It tells us that after 2,300 evenings and mornings the sanctuary will be restored.

It also tells us that the Goat (the third beast) is related to the fourth beast: one of their kingdoms will grow and become the little horn (the fourth beast). God reveals that there will arise “a king of bold face, one who understands riddles”. Finally, “he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken—but by no human hand.”

Seventy Sevens – Seventy Weeks

In chapter 9 there is a very exciting and interesting vision about the “Seventy Sevens” or “Seventy Weeks”. This vision concerns “your people (the holy people—the saints) and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place”.

When did this vision begin? What does “1,260 days” mean? And what does “a time, times, and half a time” mean? This is also related to the End Days, the holy people, the sanctuary, and New Jerusalem—God’s kingdom. Please read it carefully.

The North King and the South King

Finally, Daniel chapters 10–12 concern the conflict between the King of the North and the King of the South. At the End Time “shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble (the Great Tribulation), such as never has been since there was a nation till that time”.

What are the 1,290 days? And what are the 1,335 days? “For the (Gods’) words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end”. Maybe we can understand God’s words at this moment, because our time is now the End Time.

Let’s Prayer

Our heavenly Father, may You reveal and help us understand Daniel’s dreams and visions. May Jesus send the angel Gabriel to let us know God’s words. For Your words are hidden, and no one knows them unless You reveal them. May Your name be holy, Your kingdom come, and the sanctuary be restored (New Jerusalem).

May we all give glory, praise, power, and honor to the Father and to Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer is also in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
