Why does the Revelation call the 144000 are “virgins”?
“It is these (the 144000) who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are “virgins“. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb”

The “virgins” of Revelation 14:4 refers to the wife of the Lamb, God’s law commands priest must marry a virgin, Jesus as the High Priest he fulfilled this law- (the Lamb marry a “virgin” as his bride) – the Bride as a symbol of New Jerusalem – 144000 Saints – 7 Churches’ brothers.
“Virgins” are 144000, as a group / organization she is “the virgin Bride“. “Virgin” refers to the righteous, white and bright, pure (the fine linen).
“It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they (144000) are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb, 5 and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless.” – Rev. 14:4,5
“…since I betrothed you (brothers of Churches) to one husband (the Lamb), to present you as “a pure virgin” to Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 11:2
“Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride (the 144000) has made herself ready;
8 it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—
for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.” – Rev. 19:7,8
There is an interesting question: Why does the Revelation not directly say that the 144000 is the Bride of “Jesus“, but instead say that they are the bride of the “Lamb“?
As you know the 144000 is formed a group as an organization to assist Jesus in reigning in God’s Kingdom, just as a wife assists her husband. They are an organization not an individual man, so maybe if use terms “Jesus’ bride” is the 144000 literally would have wrong concept or bad feeling, but the terms “the Lamb’s bride – the 144000” would be better and we know its’ meaning is not literal but symbolic.
