How long did Apostle Peter think about the End Days(times) would last?
How long are the End Days? What time does the End Day begin? Does the End Days mean a literal 7 years? Does it occur in the future, or has it already begun?

It is interesting for apostles asking Jesus about the destruction of the Temple, which they linked it with the End Day. Is there any connection? In other words, actually apostles knew they were living in the “One Seven” period, specially the last “3.5” period began with the temple was destroyed. They knew…
The Temple destruction = the beginning of last days -> and then pass “3.5 period” or “42 months” -> when the “3.5 period” ended, Jesus will come back.
Presumably, the apostles must have heard and known about the prophecy of “Seventy Sevens”, and surely Jesus may have told them privately about the last “3.5” End Day period = the Temple destroyed period (Jerusalem be trampled). That’s why apostles asked Jesus both questions together : What happen would be the Temple and the End Day?
“And he (the prince – Jesus) shall make a strong (NEW) covenant with many (the 144,000 saints) for “One Seven“, and for half of the week (AD 70) he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering.” – Daniel 9:27
Therefore, we could conclude the prophecy of Seventy-Sevens must be a symbolic period rather than a literal “490 years”. The End Day refers to the final “One Seven” period, especially the last “3.5” period. Also we are sure that “One Seven” is not a literal “7 years”, but a symbolic period that has lasted for about 2000 years until now.
Apostles Peter and John confirmed this view, they confirmed and believed they were living in the last days (The End Day). So, this proves that the “last days” or “last hour” is a symbolic timing that continues more than thousand years.
“Children, it is the “last hour” (the final “3.5” period), and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the “last hour” (in apostle John times).” – 1John 2:18
“who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you” – 1 Peter 1:5,20
“knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.
8 But do not “overlook” this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you…” – 2 Peter 3:3,8,9
Thus, the Father God is not “slowness” to fulfill His promise, but He already planed to complete the final “3.5” period. He also revealed this period in 2 Peter 3:8 would last a very long time not 7 years, but will last over thousand years. So, Jesus’ saying about this period of the End Day consists of:
(1) the first “3.5” period before the End Day
(2) The “3.5” End Day period ( lasting over thousand years)
(3) The ending of the “3.5” – The ending of the Age
Also you may apply the above three-stage pattern to the earthly Jerusalem Temple :
(1) the period before the Temple destroyed
(2) The Temple destroyed period(Jerusalem be trampled 42 months)
(3) The ending trampling the Temple (the ending of “3.5”)
